  2. Cyber bullying is extremely concerning to me because there is very little you can do in terms of figuring out if it's being done. Sometimes by the time parents figure out that their child is being bullied, their child has already been affected by it.

  3. Although I do not have any kids, I think this is a serious issue. It is a recognized behavior that needs to be addresses as much as adults need to be aware of it. The article states: "Far more prevalent is cyber-bullying, which seems to carry a perceived lack of risk despite the fact that almost half of those who had been bullied on-line reported the miscreant getting caught." This goes to show that some kids are willing to take chances bullying others online though chances of not getting caught are slim. Also this behavior can lead to more serious issues.

  4. We (society) need to spend time and money educating our parents on the various uses of cell phones, highlighting the dangers involved when the technology is misused.  Perhaps the manufactures and distributers of mobile devices can be mandated to provide parents (everyone) with information about the dangers of misusing the technology. Everyone would be required to sign a written statement stating that they have read and understand the potential dangers involved when they either start and/or renew their contracts. Informed parents will take the necessary precautions needed to protect "our" children. As the African proverb goes, "It takes a village to raise a child."
